The road that wraps around the base of the hill leads to the Comune of Raviscanina. The trees growing on the hill are there by reforestation; when the Castle was constructed this hill was lacking any vegetation and was accessible in few ways (questa collina del tutto priva di vegetazione e con pochi accessi).
