The Village of Chalancey

The Third Battalion, 315th Infantry arrived at the train station in Vaux on 25 July 1918, and Companies "I," "K" and "L" and Third Battalion Headquarters were billeted in the nearby town of Chalancey. This town was part of the Tenth Training Area, in which the 79th Division was to spend its final period of training before going to the Front. (The Official History of the 315th Infantry U.S.A.
