Above: Michele VALENTE (1883-1964) and his wife Anna Maria di MARIA (1886-1959).  [Photograph of their grave.]  Michele was the oldest brother of Giovanni Valente (1887-1969), and the oldest son of Nicola Valente (1853-1939) of Gambatesa.

On the back of the photograph is handwritten Questo a Zio Giovanni ("This is for Uncle John").
