Levels of Via Serrone
The village of Gambatesa is built on the ridge of a hill, much of it carved into tufo, with many houses and stables. It is on many levels.

Angelo wrote (July 2007): "Between 1970 and 1975 the Municipio of Gambatesa changed many things in the old part of the village. The guard rails are from this time." On the other hand, however, Angelo's mother Maria remembers that iron and stone railings were already there during her childhood in the 1950s to keep people from falling.
