La Villa Comunale sotto la Neve, 1960

Largo Fontana in Gambatesa is also called La Villa, or, more precisely, La Villa Comunale ("The Municipal Park").  At the center of the photograph is the village fountain constructed in 1905.  [Street map of the village center of Gambatesa.]

The photograph above looks south across Largo Fontana.  The photograph below looks southwest.  The houses beyond the tree face the road leading down from Strada Statale No. 17 to Viale Vittoria Veneto.
